The Bridal Registry

Developing your own bridal registry list will help you get started on

your new life together. After the planning and excitement of the wedding,

reception, and honeymoon, it's nice to come home to the things that will

make you feel cozy and settled. You will have all the necessary items

for your new home.  You can register for china, silver, and crystal, but,

you will want to register for linens, cookware, bake-ware, glasses, cutlery,

and household appliances. Your family and friends will want to know your

colors, the size of your bed.  It's smart to list your preferences by the brand

name to insure you really get what you want and need.  You should register

about 5 to 8 months before the wedding. That way your list will be in place

before any parties or showers. Some companies will maintain your registry

for at least one year after your wedding date.

There are several things you have to consider when you choose a company

for your list. The first is customer service. You will want the people shopping

for you to be treated nicely and given the proper time to choose their gift.

You will also want to look for selection, quality, and prices.  The bridal registry

is a free service. Your time with a registry consultant and the setting up of

your list is free. This will be one of the most enjoyable aspects of preparing

for your Wedding. Choose a registry you feel confident with and have some

fun developing your wish list. Your friends and family will appreciate the time

you spent making their gift selection so easy and convenient.
