Types of Bouquets

(Bride's Book of Etiquette, 1994, page 219-220)

This is the traditional bridal accessory. It comes in a wide variety of sizes

and floral combinations. The bouquet may either be an arm bouquet or set

in a plastic holder.

A small nosegay with rings of various colors and blooms which are

usually a type of small blossom.

Tussie Mussie

a ribbon.

Wired

Each individual bloom is wired to stand upright and are flexible enough

to be bent into the shape of a bouquet.

Cascade

A bouquet anchored in a base. Blooms and greenery gracefully falls

downward along the front of the gown.

Composite

Individual petals of a flower or a cluster of blooms are wired and glued

together for a full look.

Pomander

A blossom-covered globe held on by a ribbon. This is good for children

to carry as well as baskets.

Traditional bridal bouquets are comprised of white and ivory flowers.

Some popular flower choices are: camellias, lilies, freesia, gardenias,
